I started girlsgetfunded.com because I found out that just like I was five years ago, not a lot of girls are financially savvy or inclined to save or invest. And that is my determination to change that and help females take control of their lives and not depend on their husbands/ their parent’s wealth / their limited income sources.
Because I care about money, and have learnt from my cohorts of like-minded women every single day and nurture it every. damn. day. It’s my baby and I’m it’s sugar mommy LOL.
Like a garden or getting fit, it requires a regular practice of specific actions.
Here are some actions that I take on a daily/ weekly/ bi-weekly and monthly basis.
Make sure I am connected to my spending by finding the best price & listening for a few minutes a day to financial news. This keeps me updated about the companies that I have invested in.
Bookkeeping using the Girls Get Funded formula. if you want to know more about it, definitely send us an email. girlsgetfunded.com/contact
Review spending weekly. Money meeting with my family. Not just for myself, but my parents are my love too. They need to have their peace of mind regarding their current wealth.
Contribute leftover money to either investing or donations. Make sure I am up to date on all insurances and credits.
Check investments (as an FYI not to make changes). See where I stand, make a decision how much to invest. Whether to invest in startups or to stocks/ dividends/ETFs/Index Funds.
Understand my business tax. Make sure me and my family are ok health wise and if they need any medical visits (health is wealth)
Check credit report. Pay taxes if they are due.
Do a general over under on my entire financial life
Meet with my financial advisor and update them on our life, goals and rebalance as needed. Renew insurances where needed.
How have you created where you are in control of your finances?
